The Delfin Mecano from Edox has been a smash hit with watch lovers the world over. Now the boutique Swiss watchmaker expands the Delfin Mecano family with a new model sporting a contemporary colour scheme. The blend of black case and strap, matched with beige and orange skeletonised accents on the watch face, presents an adventurous, but modern, timepiece on the wrist.

And while the colours may reflect a new aesthetic, the Delfin Mecano still sports all the technical, engineering and design wizardry that has made it an international best-seller and proudly being dubbed ‘‘The Water Champion’’ of dive watches when it was first launched more than 60 years ago. Thanks to the innovative double O-ring seal system, screw-down crown and reinforced case back that protects the mechanical movement, the Delfin Mecano can tick away without a care in depths of 200m.

The skeletonised design allows the wearer to glimpse the fascinating, intricate motions of the Automatic Calibre 853 movement. And even when under water or in low light, the Delfin Mecano offers crystal clear reading of the time, thanks to Super-LumiNova coating on the hands and indices. The Delfin Mecano’s 12-sided bezel echoes the shape of classic Delfin models from the 1970s and is a reminder that while Edox continually pushes the boundaries of watchmaking, it always remembers its heritage.

EDOX History Like time itself, Swiss boutique watchmaker Edox never stands still. Founder Christian Ruefli-Flury was driven by his heart when, in 1884, he made a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline’s 25th birthday. Delighted, she convinced him to set up his own company – Edox.
